Jules Janaud and Fabrice Le Nezet aka bif sind wahre Meister was künstliche Bilder angeht. Hier im Musikvideo von Raphaël Martinez alias Azel Phara gelingt ihnen sozusagen mit Minimal-CGI ein Maximal-Realitätseffekt. Triple-Wow, was man mit verkugelten Bildern für einen Effekt erreichen kann.

We wanted to create visuals that were full of contrasts; Minimal to complex, pastel to vivid, earth to air, silent to loud, light to heavy, green to RGB. Taking inspiration from classic action films, we aimed to generate camera moves in CG that had a realistic live action element, bringing together some rich and intense action sequences.

Jules Janaud and Fabrice Le Nezet aka bif spielen beim Trailer für das Playgrounds International Digital Arts Festival mit wunderbar gekonnt gestörten Filmaufnahmen, eine Technik, die sie eher durch Zufall entwickelt haben:

We came across the idea for the sequence whilst we were experimenting with the compositing software Nuke. We liked the way that when you open an image on the wrong canvas size the pixels are stretched and depending on the pictures used you can get an amazing colour range.

We then applied this effect to motion and volume. The first tests were very convincing, giving us some really cool surreal and abstract shots, combined with elegance and subtle color tones. We then developed this further to produce the final piece.
